St. Mrs. Lossie Green, of 510 S. 24th St., entertained at a 1 o'clock dinner /Sunday in honor of her sister, Mrs. Bertha Snyder, of South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Dean were guests in River Park Saturday. E. N. Danforth, of Grand Rapids, Mich., was a guest in River Park, Tuesday. ' Mrs. E. T. Whiteman, daughter of Mrs. O. C. Dillon, returned to her home in Rising Sun, O., Sunday. She was called home by the death of her father, O; C. Dillon, Feb. 13th. Mr. and Mrs. "Earl Hollis, of 2523 Mishawaka Ave., entertained the Night Hawk Bunco club in their home Monday evening. The evening was spent playing bunco and-favors going to Mr. and Mr. Marshall Ball, Mr. arid Mrs. Fred Todd and Harold Gillie. The club will meet again in three weeks «t the home of Mr. and Mrs. John 0. Erhardt, of 634 S. 24th St. The Builders' class of the River Park Methodist church met Tuesday - evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Rensberger, 929 Greenlawn Ave. Twenty-one members were pres-ent. During the business meeting it was planned to hold a St. Patrick's party at the church March 19th, also a potluck supper will be served. A social hour followed. Contest favors were awarded Miss Lulu Swihart and Harold Fry. The class will meet again in two weeks. The place to be an-nounced later. Rev. B. D. Beck, district superin-tendent of the Methodist* church, spoke at the evening service of the River Park Methodist church Sunday evening. Hunt, of Mishawaka Ave., spent the week-end in Indianapolis, Ind. The pre-Easter cottage prayer meeting, which is being held each Tuesday evening by the members of the River Park Church of Christ, will be held as follows: The eastern group, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Houghton, 729 S. 34th St.; central group, Mrs. Hazel Snyder, 633 S. 25th St.; western group, Mrs. Olive Zerby, 735 Iron-wood Drive; southern group, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Fergerson, 928 S. 26th St. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hull, of 1310 S. 29th St., entertained 30 guests in their home Saturday evening in honor of their 30th wedding anniversary. The evening was spent socially with games, favors being awarded Miss Entertains With Box Social The above picture was snapped Sat-urday evening, Feb. 16th, when the Daughters of America entertained the Junior Order of Mechanics with a box social in the Wilson club rooms.
